Recipe of roasted peppers, typical of Cádiz
Una typical Cadiz recipe are the roasted peppers. This Mediterranean dish is very healthy, since it provides us with all the nutrients of the vegetables used, green, red pepper and onion. This same dish, in Catalonia, has the name of Catalan Escalivada, although aubergines are also used in this dish.
In any case, using quality vegetables, we can make a delicious and healthy recipe. This recipe can be eaten in a salad, seasoned, or on a toast, a fresh and essential recipe for people with weight problems.
Ingredients
- Large green peppers (not fry ones).
- Red peppers.
- Onion.
- Tomato.
- Olive oil.
- Salt
Preparation
First of all, we will have to wash the vegetables very well. The amount of it will vary according to the diners, for 2 people, one piece of each type of vegetable will suffice. Next, we will dry them well with absorbent paper.
Then, we will place greaseproof paper on the oven plate, and we will place all the vegetable pieces on it. The tomato, especially, we will prick it a little with a skewer so that it does not burst while it cooks.
Then, we will paint with the help of a brush, all the vegetables with olive oil. In addition, we will add salt and put it in the oven at 200 ºC, with the heat up and down, for about 50 minutes.
Once the time has passed, we will remove from the oven and let it temper. Taking care not to burn us, we will remove the footthe all vegetables. Later, we will open them and remove the seeds. By last, we will cut into strips all these vegetables and we will dress them to our liking.
