This is a traditional recipe from Andalusian cuisine, especially from the capital, Seville. Although the base is different since the original recipe is completely vegetable, this dish admits many options to adjust it more to the tastes of each one.

In this case, I have added protein to the dish to make it more complete and serve it as a single dish. But like I say, always you can adapt it by adding or removing ingredients depending on your tastes. Ingredients
  • White, crustless sliced ​​bread
  • 2 lettuce buds
  • 1 tomato large
  • 2 eggs
  • Sliced ​​turkey breast
  • Sliced ​​havarti cheese
  • 2 cans of natural tuna
  • 1 Carrot
  • Mayonnaise
  • 1 Avocado

Preparation
  1. First we are going to put a saucepan with water on the fire to cook the 2 eggs.
  2. Meanwhile, we are going to prepare all the ingredients for the cake filling.
  3. We chop the lettuce buds and wash well, reserve in the drainer to remove all the water.
  4. Now, we wash the tomato well and cut into very thin slices.
  5. We drain the two cans of tuna and reserve.
  6. Once the eggs are cooked and warm, we peel them and cut into not very thick slices.
  7. To finish with the ingredients, we peel the carrot and cut with the same peeler to obtain very thin slices.
  8. Now is the time to assemble the cake, for this we will need a cake-type mold that we will line with aluminum foil.
  9. First we place slices of bread until the bottom is covered.
  10. We put a layer of mayonnaise to taste and spread well.
  11. The first layer will be the one that is on top, so we will first put a lettuce base in julienne.
  12. Then we put the sliced ​​tomato and the carrot slices.
  13. Now, we place another layer of sliced ​​bread, pressing carefully with our hands to compact the cake.
  14. We spread mayonnaise again and now we put a base of havarti cheese, another of turkey breast and half an avocado cut into thin slices.
  15. We put a layer of sliced ​​bread again and spread mayonnaise.
  16. In the last layer, we will put the boiled egg slices and the flaked tuna.
  17. We place the last layer of sliced ​​bread and close with aluminum foil.
  18. We put the cake in the refrigerator and place a brick on top so that it compacts well.
  19. Let cool for at least an hour.
  20. At the time of serving, we remove the aluminum foil from the top and place the source where it is going to be served.
  21. We turn the mold carefully and remove the rest of the aluminum foil.
  22. To finish, we spread with mayonnaise and decorate to taste, with slices of avocado, tomato, lettuce or whatever you prefer.
