Pear and peach porridge with biscuit, recipe for babies

Pear and peach puree with biscuit

Since sometimes we bring you recipes for children, today it occurred to me to bring you one recipe for babies, very easy, nutritious and complet. It is a homemade porridge made with pear and peach to which we are going to add milk (formula or breast milk) and biscuit, so that it is a complete dish for our baby.

This homemade porridge is a frequent dish at breakfast or in my son's snack, who especially likes peaches and sometimes I use it as a "catch" for him to eat other things. Babies vary their tastes a lot, the same thing this week they eat fruit well and the next week they don't, so it doesn't hurt to know some tricks with which to facilitate a good diet. I'll tell you about them at the end of the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 pear
  • 1 peach
  • 2 tablespoons of milk
  • 3-4 cookies (or 2 if they are Maria type)

Crafting

The first thing we are going to do is wash the fruit well, we will peel it and cut it into pieces, then we will pass it through the blender along with the milk and cookies. I add three or four cookies of the ones you see in the photo in the shape of animals, they do not have sugar and he likes to have some in his hand while he has breakfast or a snack, they are very fun, but you can also use any other cookie that you have. Like it, baby cookies or even the classic Maria always.

How to make it easier for children to eat fruit

My son has always eaten fruit well, but he has better days than others, he has ever given up rejecting fruit for a week and I have had to find some resources. The ones that work best for me are the following:

  • Do not give him the fruit he does not like and add more than he does like, for example, my son's favorite fruit was previously the banana, so on "difficult" days I would make him purees that had more banana than other fruits. Then he stopped liking the banana and his favorite fruit became the peach, so now I do the same but with this fruit.
  • Add other ingredients such as yogurt or cookies, so the flavor of the fruit is a little more camouflaged.
  • Try to cook the fruit (just a little) to make it taste sweeter, for example, the apple.
