Mashed potatoes are sometimes a bit boring for children, so we will have to opt for simple recipes and accompany them to make it work. spectacular for the little ones in the house. It is what we wanted to do with this cake chicken arabic.

Despite his spices (typical in this type of gastronomy) gives a much more intense touch to the chicken, something also tasteless and naturally dry. In this way, we can attract their attention with this presentation so that they do not have problems eating.

Ingredients

  • Fried tomato sauce.
  • 1 egg.
  • Bread crumbs.
  • Oregano.

For mash:

  • 3 medium potatoes.
  • 1 tablespoon butter.
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt to taste.
  • Pinch of ground black pepper.
  • Water.

For chicken:

  • 2 chicken breasts.
  • Curry.
  • Oregano.
  • Thyme.
  • Ground black pepper
  • Juice of half a lemon.

Preparation

First of all, we will do the mashed potatoes. To do this, we will peel the potatoes, wash them and cut them into cachelos to boil them with water for about 25 minutes.

Next, we will prepare the chicken. We will cut it into small cubes and marinate it for 30 minutes with all the spices and the lemon juice.

Then we will drain and crush them with a fork or we will go through a puree raisin. Then, we will add the butter and the nutmeg and stir so that it is a smooth and homogeneous texture.

Then, we will sauté the chicken well in a pan with a drizzle of olive oil and we will remove it on absorbent paper and leave it reserved.

Later, we will ride in individual bowls the cake. In the bottom we will put a base of mashed potatoes, on top of it some cubes of chicken and a little tomato sauce and, later, another layer of mashed potatoes. We will paint this with a little beaten egg and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top.

Finally, we will put the already preheated oven for about 5 minutes at 180ºC, and we will remove it until the egg has set and a bread crust has formed. Whether you want to remove it from the mold or not, we will decorate with a few cubes of chicken and tomato sauce with a pinch of oregano.
