Homemade dumplings
For those of us who love to cook, we take advantage of weekends or holidays to get into the kitchen and innovate new dishes. Well then, for this eastern I present you some delicious homemade dumplings that have had a brutal success at home.
All the empanadillas They are very tasty for the little ones, in addition, they can lend a hand when preparing and sealing them. Being home they have a low caloric power, and if we combine it with a filling of chicken and vegetables like this, and a cooked in the oven, it becomes a healthy recipe.
Ingredients
- 1-2 cloves of garlic.
- 40 g of pitted black or green olives.
- 1 spring onion.
- 1 chicken breast.
- 1 can of piquillo peppers.
- Fried tomato.
- White wine.
- Grated cheese.
- Beaten egg (paint the dumplings).
- Olive oil.
- Salt
- Pepper.
For dough of the dumplings:
- 1/2 kilo of flour.
- 125 g of white lard or butter.
- 2 eggs.
- Pinch of ground black pepper.
- Pinch of salt.
- 1/2 teaspoons of sugar.
- 1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika.
- 6 tablespoons of water
Preparation
First, we will do the dough of the dumplings. To do this, we will place all the ingredients in a bowl, kneading them well with our hands until we get a homogeneous and elastic dough that does not stick to the hands. Later, we will cover it and let it rest by placing it in the refrigerator.
Then we will do the filling. First we will chop the chicken breast into very small cubes, as well as the chives, the piquiño peppers and the garlic. We will fry all this in a frying pan with a good drizzle of olive oil. Add salt and pepper.
Then, we will add the white wine and, when the alcohol evaporates, we will remove it from the heat adding the filleted olives, a splash of fried tomato and grated cheese. We will stir well so that everything is mixed and we will reserve.
Then, we will remove the dough from the refrigerator, spread it and we will cut in circles with the help of a pasta cutter or a glass. We will fill each circle with the filling made previously and we will close it by moistening the corners a little and pressing with a fork.
Finally, once we have all the dumplings made, we will paint them with beaten egg and put it in the preheated oven at 180 ºC for about 10-15 minutes.
