Brownie with walnuts and chocolate chips

Brownie with walnuts and chocolate chips

I love chocolate and I love brownies. The slightly damp texture they have and the intense chocolate flavor makes them irresistible by themselves. If we also add some dried fruit, be it walnuts, almonds or hazelnuts, the result is exceptional.

Brownie recipes there are many but this is, without a doubt, one of my favorites. I found it after playing with the amounts of the main ingredients. Baking this brownie is really addictive; floods the kitchen with aromas that inevitably whet your appetite. If you like the result, do not hesitate to experiment with it and combine it with a sponge cake of butter, you will get a magnificent breakfast!

Ingredients

  • 200 g. dark chocolate (705)
  • 165 g. of butter
  • 165 g. of sugar.
  • 3 eggs + 1 yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Sal Island
  • 70 g. Of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of cocoa
  • 70 g. walnuts
  • Chocolate chips

Crafting

We preheat the oven to 180ºC.

We melt the chocolate black with butter, either in the microwave, or in a bain-marie.

In a bowl we beat the eggs with the sugar until they turn white and double in volume. Then, we add the chocolate mixture and a teaspoon of vanilla essence. We stir with a wooden spoon until its total integration.

Then we incorporate the sifted flour with the cocoa and a pinch of salt and work until we get a homogeneous mixture.

Finally we add the chopped walnuts and mix.

We line a mold with baking paper and pour the mixture. We distribute it well throughout the mold, flatten the surface and decorate it with some chocolate chips.

Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the thickness of the brownie and the strength of our oven.

Notes

  • I like brownies to have a Crispy "crust" and a humid interior. I usually turn off the oven when its interior is still damp and I let the residual heat in it finish doing the job.
  • I like to accompany the brownie with some jam, either bitter orange or figs.

Sorry, I forgot to put it, now I correct it. After the flour you add them to the mixture and mix.
