Today's recipe is ideal for the sweetest, for which sugar and sweet flavors in general give them energy, gives them life. It is about sweetened sweet potatoes. It is a traditional recipe that is made a lot in Andalusia and other areas of Spain and for which very few ingredients are necessary to get something really good and nutritious.
We should not abuse this dessert either since its sugar level is high ... It is best to eat it in small portions and two or three days a week.

Ingredients
- 1 kg of sweet potatoes
- 1 Lemon
- 500 g sugar
- 400 ml water
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 4 nails
Preparation
- In a pot we will place water with two cinnamon sticks and several lemon slices. We will wait until it boils. In the meantime you can choose to peel the sweet potatoes and cook them without skin, or as we have done, boil them with the skin. We will leave boil for about 10 minutes approximately (they should not be very tender).
- While these cook, we will make the syrup: in a small saucepan we will prepare the syrup with the water and sugar indicated in the ingredients, scented with two other cinnamon sticks and the 4 cloves.
- When the syrup is done and the sweet potatoes have cooked, we will incorporate them, previously drained and leave cook with the syrup for about 5 more minutes.
- And ready! Now it's time to cool, although they can also be eaten warm.
Notes
The ideal is to eat them cold but they can also be enjoyed warm. Let's not forget the caloric contribution of this dessert!
