Ingredients
- 1 loaf of bread special for torrijas
- 3 eggs
- 500 ml of sweet wine
- Honey
- Water
- Olive oil
Preparation
- In a pan, we put olive oil extra virgin to heat. While it is heating, we take a plate and add a little Sweet wine, and we take another deep plate (like the previous one) and add the 3 eggs that we totally beat.
- When the oil has heated up, the process is to take slice of bread to slice, putting them first for the wine until they are wet, and then by the beaten egg. The next step will be throw them to fry in the oil that should be very hot. So we are making our slices that should be golden brown on the outside.
- When all the French toast are fried, we will have the last step, which will be to heat about 250 ml of miel approximately with a little water. When the honey has become liquid, we introduce each torrija so that it soaks well in honey and so they remain good sweet.
- Now it only remains to cool and serve with a rich coffee. Delicious!
