York Ham Rolls with Rice

Good delicacies are those that we can eat if we look a little for the variety of ingredients. But sometimes the little ones do not perceive it, so today I want to bring you a way of prepare the rice that the little ones in the house will surely like.

A Pair of York ham rolls with rice. Inside we can mix corn, tuna, surimi or other ingredients that the kids like. In my case, I will put the ones I have mentioned, because they are the ones I like the most.

We start with the purchase, as always and some detail of its preparation.

Preparation time: 25-30 minutes

Ingredients for 4 people:

  • 100 grams of rice per person (400gr)
  • Canned corn
  • Surimi (crab in orange bars)
  • 2 cans of natural tuna
  • 1 package of ham

Once we have all the necessary ingredients, we start by boiling the rice, in hot water, with salt and oil. We let it cook a few 15-20 minutes, it will go in relation to the type of rice.

While the rice is cooking, In a separate bowl we mix the ingredients, corn, surimi, which in my case is orange because I like it better, but remember that there is red and it is something cheaper, we also add the tuna by removing the oil. And we mix everything, to put it in the fridge, since this dish is better if it is served cold.

When the rice is ready, according to taste, we let it cool. If you prepare the rolls, run in a hurry, we can run it through very cold water until it loses temperature and thus it will not give us problems. Now we mix the already prepared ingredients with the rice, we season it with what we like, mayonnaise, oil some vinaigrette that we want, that is your choice. In my case I use a little oil and nothing else.

Now we can start to assemble the plate, We spread the slice of the ham and with a spoon we put a couple of portions of the mixture on top, we roll it up and ready to put on the plate.

Usually with two rolls per person of this delicious delicacy we will have enough. But as always there are many types of appetite so each household will know its portions.
