These spicy filo dough sticks are an ideal appetizer to serve on any occasion. The only thing you have to buy is the filo dough, something that you can buy in advance and reserve for some day when the occasion arises.

This dough is very easy to get and keeps perfectly in the refrigerator for many weeks. Of course, once you open the container it is advisable to consume the dough in its entirety, since it is quite delicate and dries in a few minutes. You can prepare these crunchy sticks with the ingredients of your choice, but always keeping in mind that they should not be too heavy. Ingredients
  • 1 package of phyllo dough
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Spices to taste, oregano, sweet paprika, garlic powder, Provencal herbs
  • Mixed seeds, chia, flax, poppy, pumpkin

Preparation
  1. First we are going to prepare a baking tray with a sheet of greaseproof paper.
  2. We preheat the oven to about 180º
  3. We spread the phyllo dough sheets on top, with scissors, cut the dough in half.
  4. We prepare olive oil in a container.
  5. With a kitchen brush, we paint the sheets of filo dough.
  6. We sprinkle the chosen spice for each stick.
  7. We carefully roll each portion of phyllo dough starting at one corner.
  8. We place the sticks on the baking sheet as we prepare them.
  9. Once we finish all the dough, we put the tray in the oven.
  10. The sticks take a few minutes to cook, in about 6 minutes they will be ready. Be careful not to burn!
  11. Let it warm for a few minutes and voila, you can now enjoy this simple appetizer.
