Last Sunday February 1 was the my lord father's birthday and, our dear neighbor Mari, surprised us with this wonderful homemade apple pie. I am not very one of these cakes but I have to say that this one was tremendous for what it deserved a tribute.
Therefore, today I present to you this apple pie that he made us as a birthday snack for my dear father, who was already 51 years old. Also, it can be served as a dessert after a light lunch or snack for the little ones in the house.
Apple pie with cream
Apple pies are a very simple and traditional recipe that we have all made at home at times. This contains pastry cream and apricot jam. To lick your fingers!

Ingredients
- 2 apples.
- Apricot cream.
- 1 sheet of puff pastry.
Custard cream
- ¼ liter of milk.
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract.
- 70 g of icing sugar.
Preparation
- First, we will do the custard cream.
- To do this, we can heat the milk with the vanilla essence in a saucepan, without boiling.
- In a bowl we will place the egg yolks together with the icing sugar and stir until the lumps disappear.
- We will add all the hot milk to the bowl and stir well, putting it back in the pot.
- We will stir well until thickened and we will let it temper.
- We will stretch the puff pastry and we will arrange it on a removable mold.
- We will place the pastry cream on top and then the apple cut into thin slices.
- We will introduce in the oven at 210ºC until golden good.
- Finally, we will paint with the apricot jam.
Notes
This cake should be eaten cold.
