Ingredients
- 5 chicken breast fillets
- 1 cup of cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 1⅓ cups of buttermilk (200 ml. Of milk + 2 tablespoons of lemon juice)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons of salt
- 3 teaspoons of paprika
- 3 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons of baking powder
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
Preparation
- We prepare the buttermilk. To do this, we add the lemon juice to the milk, stir and let it rest for 15 minutes.
- We beat the breast fillets with the hand and salt and pepper on both sides.
- We take out three plates. In the first one we put the cornstarch; in the second we mix the egg with ⅔ of the buttermilk; and in the third we mix the flour, salt, paprika, pepper, garlic, baking powder, cumin and the remaining buttermilk. Work this last mixture with your fingers until you get a kind of crumbs.
- We put abundant oil in a pan and heat it.
- We pass the fillets through the cornstarch, the egg and the flour successively. We reserve and do the same with the rest. We let them review for 1 minute.
- We fry the steaks one at a time 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. We take them out on an absorbent paper and quickly serve with the chosen sauce.
