It is impossible to resist these chicken breasts tender on the inside and crisp on the outside thanks to a peculiar batter. It was probably the way of preparing it that most caught my attention; There are a thousand things that can motivate me to make a recipe, does the same thing happen to you?

You can accompany these crispy breasts for your favorite sauce. We have prepared a light béchamel, but a tomato sauce is also a great option. It is a dish that will not take long to prepare and that will be liked by both adults and children.

Ingredients
  • 5 chicken breast fillets
  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 egg
  • 1⅓ cups of buttermilk (200 ml. Of milk + 2 tablespoons of lemon juice)
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons of salt
  • 3 teaspoons of paprika
  • 3 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

Preparation
  1. We prepare the buttermilk. To do this, we add the lemon juice to the milk, stir and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. We beat the breast fillets with the hand and salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. We take out three plates. In the first one we put the cornstarch; in the second we mix the egg with ⅔ of the buttermilk; and in the third we mix the flour, salt, paprika, pepper, garlic, baking powder, cumin and the remaining buttermilk. Work this last mixture with your fingers until you get a kind of crumbs.
  4. We put abundant oil in a pan and heat it.
  5. We pass the fillets through the cornstarch, the egg and the flour successively. We reserve and do the same with the rest. We let them review for 1 minute.
  6. We fry the steaks one at a time 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. We take them out on an absorbent paper and quickly serve with the chosen sauce.
