Homemade frozen: Vegetable bags

Today there are many of us who do not have time to cook something homemade, we only have a few minutes to prepare something quickly and that's it. For cases like this, the frozen because they are already prepared, we just have to defrost, cook in 5-10 minutes and that's it. The problem is that consuming this often is not very healthy, but we can solve it by preparing our own frozen foods, on that occasion it is about vegetable sachets already washed, peeled and cut to our liking, ready to cook.

Homemade frozen, vegetable sachets

Preparing these vegetable bags is very simple, we will only have to wash, peel and cut the vegetables that we want. In my case I usually do it with peppers, onion, carrot o zucchini, and I cut it all in julienne because it can serve me the same for a sauté as for a rice, for example, this goes according to taste, you can cut it into cubes, cubes, etc.

It can be made with other vegetables like turnips, cauliflower, potato, pumpkin… At the moment the only vegetable that I have not liked the result is the tomato because it melts when cooking, in any case it could be used to make some salsa.

When it comes to defrosting, you don't need to wait long or put it in the microwave. You just take the vegetables out of the bag, put them in a drainer and put them under the tap water. In a moment the ice will be removed and you can use the vegetables for what you like the most.

I recommend using resistant bags and labeling them with the date and the vegetables that you have put in, in this way you can always reuse them with the same food, you just have to change the date label. In the photos that you see I put some separate vegetables, but you can also join several if you know that you are going to use them that way, for example, the sautéed peppers I usually have it already prepared in the freezer, then I just defrost and cook in 5-10 minutes.

And that's not all! I will continue to tell you more soon, while that happens I hope you enjoy this single trick.

But in this way they do not lose vitamins that vegetables give us?

If it is true that when frozen they lose some vitamins, although most of them are preserved. The fresher the vegetable, the more vitamins it has, from the harvest it gradually loses vitamins. In the freezing process, a large part of the vitamins they have are preserved.
