Sautéed peppers

Since this crisis seems that it still refuses to let us breathe and also now we have to climb the famous January slope with difficulty, what do you think if we do a recipe very simple and economical ?. It's about a sautéed peppers with a slightly different touch, it was an impromptu dinner but since we tried it it has stayed on our usual menu because it deserves it!

Sautéed peppers

Degree of difficulty: Very easy

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients for 1-2 people:

  • 1-2 green peppers
  • Media onion
  • 1 tomato
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper
  • Hot sauce (Tabasco, for example)
  • Olive oil
  • 1 tooth of it

Preparation:

In a frying pan (or on the grill if you prefer) we heat a little olive oil, brown the garlic clove cut into slices and sauté the onion and the pepper, both vegetables cut in julienne.

Step 1:

When ready add a little hot sauce (if desired), salt, pepper and set aside.

Step 2:

And in the same pan we cook the tomato cut into slices, just turn and turn.

Step 3:

Finally we add the tomato to the plate and voila!

Step 4:

When serving ...

Here I can think of two options: The first, in case it is Sole plate (as was my case) is to place the sauté first and then the tomato slice on top with a sprig of parsley, as we see in the image. The second, in case it is served as escort o Garrison, it could be good to place two tomato slices first and the sauteed on top. This is just what I can think of, but you can let your imagination fly and surely new ideas will occur to you.

Recipe suggestions:

  • To make it even more special, instead of using only green pepper, you can also add red and yellow, delicious, original and colorful.
  • I think some mushrooms they would combine wonderfully.
  • You can do without the tomato if you don't like it.
  • The sauce that I added is Harissa, a typical Moroccan hot sauce (I'll tell you about it one day), but you can use tabasco or any other that you like. Adding a small amount will give intensity to the flavor without it becoming spicy, or you can add more to make it spicy, depending on how you like it.

The best…

Its preparation is fast, but for here I tell you a trick to make it even faster. Ideal for times of emergency.
