Una citrus salad It is always a great option to complete a menu, also on occasions as special as Christmas. If you have many guests, don't hesitate! This citrus salad is a great alternative as a starter but also as an accompaniment to any meat or fish dish.
We have prepared it with spinach, but to make it more festive you could choose some fresh green shoots. You will only have to combine these with a selection of citrus fruits and a simple basil vinaigrette and you will have a recipe ten on the table.
As for citrus fruits, they cannot be missing oranges and tangerines, but you can also add grapefruit. Some pomegranates never hurt either and these also give that Christmas touch that we all look for on our table around this time of year. Will you dare to prepare this recipe?
The recipe
- 3 handfuls of spinach
- 1 orange
- 1 mandarina
- 1 persimmon
- 1 grenade
- Basil
- Olive oil
- Vinegar
- Sal Island
- Clean the spinach and place them in a fountain. Drizzle them with a little olive oil and mix well so that they are lightly soaked.
- Then peel and cut the orange sliced, adding these to the salad.
- Do the same with the tangerine and the persimon. Place all the fruits on the tray in such a way that the colors coordinate to make it more attractive.
- Once done, add the pomegranate seeds, well distributed throughout the salad.
- In a mortar, place a couple of tablespoons of oil and some basil leaves and mash so that the oil takes on its flavor.
- To finish, add a pinch of salt to the salad and water with oil strained preparation and a pinch of vinegar if you want.
- Enjoy the citrus salad at room temperature.
