I was thinking for a long time how to prepare some chicken breasts that I bought in a tray so that they would have a sophisticated appearance. At last the idea for this chicken with pineapple and honey sauce, which is surely very common because in the kitchen there is not much to invent. Although we could say that this dish has the tropical touch of pineapple combined with the soft taste of honey from the Alps flowers.
Preparation time: 30 minutes
Ingredients ( 4 people)
- 3 chicken breasts
- 4 pineapple slices
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 glass of white wine
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 glass of pineapple syrup
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 cup walnuts
- 2 tablespoons instant cornmeal
- butter for frying
Preparation
Melt a piece of butter in a saucepan, and place the pineapple slices to brown on both sides.
When they are golden we put them on a plate. In the same base of cooking of the pineapples, we put the breasts in halves and we also let them brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste. We must be careful with the sugar that the pineapple slices gave off, scraping the bottom so that it does not burn.
When the breast pieces are browned on both sides, add the minced garlic and stir over the heat without browning. then add the wine, pineapple juice and soy sauce. Bring to a boil and then lower the heat so that the chicken finishes cooking slowly.
We remove the chicken from the casserole when it is cooked and can be cut with a fork, we reserve it on a plate. We leave the cooking liquid on the fire, add the honey, stirring so that it dissolves in the juice and sprinkle the cornmeal to thicken it.
Finally, when the sauce thickens, add the walnuts and put the chicken back in the casserole to heat it.
We serve with a pineapple slice.
Today we have accompanied it with a selection of rice dishes with a yogurt sauce dressing.
How rich, the taste of pineapple and honey with the chicken ... mmmmm!
Wow, a complete delight, there is no doubt that this dish looks sophisticated, but I also like how easy the preparation really is, and how super good this recipe is for me today, since I have chicken in the fridge and 6 pinias that I picked from the orchard yesterday, aha, a round plate will come out.
