It is not the first time that I propose you some porridge for breakfast. Last month we prepared some delicious amaranth porridge with strawberries and roasted pear, do you remember? Today, we choose a simpler and more accessible alternative with the oatmeal as the main ingredient.
As I already told you, porridge has become one of my favorite breakfasts in the last year. I have tried many recipes but probably these porridge from oatmeal, banana and chocolate be my most recurring recipe. They feel great and accept many accompaniments: cut fruit, dried fruit, dried fruit ...
- 3 tablespoons rolled oats (unsweetened)
- 1 large banana
- 4 dates, minced
- 1 teaspoon of pure cocoa
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence
- 1½ glasses of almond drink
- A handful of nuts
- We put the oatmeal, half mashed banana, dates, vanilla essence, cocoa and almond drink.
- We put on the fire and when it starts to boil, we lower the heat and cook for 10 minutes the mixture that will thicken and take consistency.
- We add more milk to correct consistency if necessary; there are those who like thick porridge and those who like it lighter.
- We serve the oatmeal porridge in a bowl with the rest of the sliced banana and some nuts.
