Ingredients
  • 6 apples
  • 6 tablespoons of Philadelphia type cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons of brown sugar or 3 tablespoons of white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • peeled walnuts and honey to decorate

Preparation
  1. Wash the apples and cut off the tops. Core them with an apple core cutter. It is important in this step not to break the apple underneath, so that we can fill them without losing the filling. Reserve the pieces of apple that if they serve.
  2. In a bowl, make the cheese filling, to do this, add the cheese with the sugar, after mixing it well, add the egg, cinnamon, cornstarch and vanilla essence. Mix well until we have a homogeneous mixture.
  3. Put the apples in a baking tray and fill them with the cheese mixture.
  4. Finely chop the remaining apple that we had from the beginning and put it on top of the filling.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes at 200ºC, the apple should be roasted and the filling set and slightly raised by the egg.
  6. Let them temper, they are ready! To accompany them add a handful of walnuts and a few strands of honey… .mmnnnn what if we add a scoop of vanilla ice cream?
