Almond and chocolate cake

 

Almond and chocolate cake, a very rich cake ideal for breakfast and snack. A very good cake, the combination of almonds and chocolate is great, it is very juicy and soft.

For chocolate lovers it is ideal although it has a mild chocolate flavor. You can also add pieces of dried fruit, fruit... It is ideal for preparing a birthday cake.

Ingredients
  • 200 gr. pastry flour
  • 250 gr. of butter
  • 250 gr. sugar
  • 50 gr. ground almonds
  • 2 sachets of raising agents or a sachet of yeast
  • 60-70 grams cocoa powder or chocolate for desserts
  • 5 eggs
  • Sugar glass

Preparation
  1. To prepare the almond and chocolate sponge cake we will start by turning on the oven at 180ºC with heat up and down.
  2. Put the butter in the microwave for a few seconds.
  3. In a bowl put the eggs, sugar and butter. We mix everything well. On the other hand we add the yeast or raising agents to the flour, we sift it.
  4. Once we have the mixture well beaten, we add the almond flour and the pastry flour. We will add it little by little and integrate it well. Followed we will add the cocoa powder and mix.
  5. Once everything is mixed, we line a mold with baking paper, or we spread the mold with butter and sprinkle a little flour. Add the mixture to the mold and put in the oven. We will have it about 40 minutes, depending on the oven.
  6. To know when it's ready, we puncture the center of the cake, if it comes out dry it's ready. We will not leave it in the oven for a long time, otherwise it will be dry. Let cool and sprinkle with icing sugar.
  7. And ready to accompany our coffee.
