Ingredients

  • 2-3 hake fillets (frozen or fresh).
  • 1 clove garlic.
  • 1 slice of sliced ​​bread.
  • A bit of milk.
  • 1 egg.
  • Parsley.
  • Bread crumbs.
  • Flour.
  • Water.
  • Pinch of salt.
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 potato
  • 1/4 onion.

Preparation

Firstly, we will cook the hake loins in a saucepan with water over medium heat, along with a pinch of salt for about 10 minutes. We will drain and let it temper.

Then we will mince the garlic clove and we will place it in a bowl. In addition, we will soak the sliced ​​bread in a bowl with a little milk.

Then, we will shred the hake on the previous bowl and we will add the bread crumbs soaked in milk, the egg, the pinch of salt and the chopped parsley. We will stir everything well until we get a homogeneous mixture and we will let it take consistency. If necessary to compact, we would add breadcrumbs.

For carrot sauce, We will chop the onion, the potato and the carrots in medium cubes. In a frying pan, we will put a good base of olive oil and we will poach the onion. Then, we will add the carrot and the potato, stirring well and letting cook for about 3 minutes. Then, we will add a glass of water and let it cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Finally, we will crush it and reserve it for later.

In conclusion, we will make the balls with this dough and we will pass them through flour, and then fry them in abundant sunflower oil. We will drain them on kitchen paper and transfer them to a frying pan together with the carrot sauce. We will add water and cook for about 10-12 minutes so that the flavors bind.
