Galician turkey ham

Today we are going to prepare a Galician turkey ham. A traditional dish of Galician cuisine. Galician lacón is found in many tapas bars, as it is a well-known dish.

A simple and delicious recipe that we can prepare as an aperitif or as a starter at a dinner. A dish that is prepared at home with few ingredients, we only need ham that is already sold prepared and there is even turkey, cooked potatoes, olive oil, salt and sweet or spicy paprika.

Ingredients
  • 350 gr. sliced ​​baked turkey ham
  • 2-3 potatoes
  • Sweet or hot paprika
  • Gorda
  • Olive oil

Preparation
  1. To make this Galician pork shoulder dish, we will first put a casserole with plenty of water, when it starts to boil we add the washed potatoes with the skin and we will leave them until they are cooked.
  2. To know if they are cooked, we will click with a toothpick in the center to check if they are cooked. When they are we take them out and let them temper.
  3. We peel them and cut them into not very fat slices, we place them covering an entire source or plate, we put a little salt on the potatoes.
  4. For the ham, we put a frying pan to heat with a little oil and we are putting slices of ham, turning the ham back and forth, we remove them and we are placing the slices on top of the potatoes, until all the ham is present.
  5. We drizzle a good jet of olive oil over the ham and the potatoes, then sprinkle with sweet or spicy paprika and finish by adding a little coarse salt to taste.
  6. And it will be ready, if you like it to be hotter at the last minute it is a little hot in the microwave.
