Hello good! Today I bring you a homemade dessert for those with a sweet tooth. This recipe from homemade custard It is one of my favorites. Since I was little I have always liked them, and since my mother let me into the kitchen she made the typical envelopes that they sell in supermarkets. But he already taught me how to make them at home, and today he left it for you to enjoy.

Custard is an important part of gastronomy in many countries. Did you know that not all are sweet? In the United Kingdom and the United States, these are mixed with other ingredients to fill savory tarts. However, in Colombia its preparation is different from what we do here, since it does not contain an egg.

Another important fact is that, by containing hypocaloric ingredients, these homemade custard They are considered suitable for weight loss and weight maintenance diets. So get to work!.

Ingredients

  • 1 l of milk.
  • 150g of sugar.
  • 12 egg yolks
  • 1 vanilla bean.
  • Cinnamon powder.
  • Cookies.
  • Colored or chocolate noodles.

Preparation

The first step in doing these homemade custard is to separate the whites from the yolks. Then, we will place the yolks in a bowl (this must be something big since there are many yolks) and we begin to beat them. Then, we will add a glass of milk and we continue mixing everything very well.

Then we put the remaining milk in a casserole and we would take it to the fire along with the vanilla bean. After a few minutes add the sugar and bring to a boil. When it has boiled, we let it warm for a few minutes, and then add a few scoops to the yolk mixture, stir well and return it to the previous casserole.

Then, we cook all that mixture over low heat, without stopping stirring until we see that the mixture is taking on some consistency, such as a very light fine puree. We have to be careful that the mixture does not boil, otherwise it would cut off. Finally, we will place it in individual bowls and we would introduce cookies. In addition, to decorate we will put colored or chocolate noodles, some syrup, caramel, or whatever we like the most.
