We could call them toriijas, we could call them French toast ... the important thing about this dish is not so much the wrapper as the irresistible banana and nutella filling. Banana and nutella form a tandem that is difficult to resist; a very caloric tandem by the way, but a day is a day.
As if the filling were insufficient, the toasts are coated, after being fried, in sugar and cinnamon. It is not a dessert for every day but its simplicity invites us to indulge, don't you think? The ideal is to eat them freshly made; it won't take you long… 15 minutes at the most to make 4 toasts.
- 4 slices of sliced bread without crust
- 3 bananas
- 4 generous tablespoons nutella
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of milk
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
- Olive oil
- We stretch with a roller slices of bread so they are very thin.
- We extend on each of them a tablespoon nutella.
- We put a piece of banana covering almost the entire width of the slice.
- We roll the bread on the banana and batter the rolls in beaten egg, lightened with two tablespoons of milk.
- We fry in abundant oil until golden brown and leave on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
- Then we coat them with the mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
