Homemade Vanilla Custard

Homemade vanilla custard. The good thing about preparing them at home is that we can make them to our liking, if we like them sweeter or less, we can use the type of milk that we like or give it our personal touch by putting scent of vanilla, lemon or cinnamon.

The truth is that they are worth doing, like any traditional homemade dessert, at home they will enjoy it very much. With few ingredients we can prepare some homemade custard delicious !!!

Ingredients
  • 1 liter of milk
  • Yolks 5
  • 100 grams of sugars
  • 40 grams of starch or cornstarch
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • A piece of lemon rind
  • Cinnamon

Preparation
  1. We put a saucepan with the milk to heat over medium heat, the cinnamon stick, the vanilla and a piece of lemon peel. We will stir it little by little without it coming to a boil. About 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, we put the yolks, the sugar and the starch or the cornstarch. We mix it.
  3. When the saucepan is all infused, we will remove the cinnamon stick and the lemon peel, we will take a saucepan of the hot milk and we will pour it over the yolks, we will stir without stopping.
  4. Without raising the heat of the milk saucepan, we will gradually add the mixture of the yolks and we will stir without stopping and without boiling.
  5. When it begins to thicken we will remove it from the heat.
  6. And we will only have to serve them in individual sources. When they are warm, we will put the molds in the refrigerator, until they cool.
  7. When they are ready we serve them with a little ground cinnamon.
  8. And ready to eat !!!!

    The recipe is wrong, if you have to stop boiling the mixture but it will never thicken, I did it without letting it boil and it remained liquid, later I added more cornstarch but never thick, after boiling it was like paste. Let it boil at the end
