Macaroni with golden onion and chicken
Pasta and chicken are the two quintessential foods to carry a balance diet. That is why today I have proposed to mix the two in the same dish. A sautéed macaroni with well-poached onion and chopped chicken, giving it a very tasty spicy touch.
These healthy recipes come in handy for hold the line, until the great Christmas dinner arrives where we will take a quilito of more. In addition, it will also serve you after the holidays.
Ingredients
- 300 g of macaroni.
- 1 chicken breast.
- 1/2 large onion.
- Olive oil.
- Water.
- Salt
- Thyme.
- Parsley.
- Ground black pepper
Preparation
Firstly, we will cook the macaroni in plenty of boiling water. We will always look at the manufacturer's cooking time, but the pasta is ready in about 8-10 minutes.
Meanwhile, we are chopping the very small onion, so that later we hardly notice it. We will also chop the breast of medium diced chicken.
We will put in a pan a good base of olive oil, which we will heat over medium-low heat. We will throw the onion so that it becomes golden brown.
When the onion takes that golden color, we will add the chicken and we will stir everything so that the flavors bind.
Besides, we will drain the macaroni. We will add these to the pan when we see that the chicken has changed color.
Finally, we are slowly sautéing the macaroni with the onion and chicken. We will incorporate all the spices (salt, thyme, parsley and pepper), and you're ready to start enjoying these delicious light macaroni.
