Ingredients
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 red onion
  • ½ Italian green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 2-3 cayenne chillies
  • 3 peeled ripe tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon minced oregano

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 210 g. macaroni

Preparation
  1. We chop very finite onion and peppers. We can do it by hand with the help of a very sharp knife or in the mincer.
  2. We put a tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté the onion and the peppers 8 minutes until the onion changes color.
  3. We incorporate the tomatoes cut into chunks, the cayenne chillies and oregano. We mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft and a sauce forms.
  4. We crush the sauce and we pass it through a strainer to make it finer.
  5. Then we season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. If the tomatoes were sour, you might also need a pinch of sugar.
  6. We drain the tuna and add it to the pan. We cook 5 minutes for the flavors to integrate.
  7. Meanwhile, we cook the pasta in salt water.
  8. When the pasta is ready we add it to the pan. We mix and serve.
