Is there something easier to prepare than paste with TUNAFISH? It is a classic in many homes; a dish that both adults and children like and with which we know we will always hit the mark. Today, however, we wanted to make a slight variation on this classic by incorporating a spicy touch.
Macaroni with tuna in hot sauce they will become a great ally in the weekly menu of many spicy lovers. You will have no problem regulating the level of spiciness; It will be enough for you to remove or add chillies compared to the version that we propose today. Do you dare to try it?
- Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 red onion
- ½ Italian green pepper
- 1 red pepper
- 2-3 cayenne chillies
- 3 peeled ripe tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon minced oregano

- 2 cans of tuna, drained
- 210 g. macaroni
- We chop very finite onion and peppers. We can do it by hand with the help of a very sharp knife or in the mincer.
- We put a tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté the onion and the peppers 8 minutes until the onion changes color.
- We incorporate the tomatoes cut into chunks, the cayenne chillies and oregano. We mix well and cook until tomatoes are soft and a sauce forms.
- We crush the sauce and we pass it through a strainer to make it finer.
- Then we season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste. If the tomatoes were sour, you might also need a pinch of sugar.
- We drain the tuna and add it to the pan. We cook 5 minutes for the flavors to integrate.
- Meanwhile, we cook the pasta in salt water.
- When the pasta is ready we add it to the pan. We mix and serve.
