Lentils with octopus a different spoon dish. We always eat lentils with chorizo, as it is a legume that can be prepared with other ingredients. I propose this recipe that I tried and I liked the flavor it gives and thus make the most varied lentils.
Sometimes eating legumes cost a bit, but they can be prepared in many ways and made with ingredients that everyone likes at home. I add sweet paprika to this dish, but if you dare and at the last moment when we serve the dish, you can put hot paprika, it will be very good.
A plate of lentils with octopus for this cold, very simple and different. You sure like them.
- 400 gr. lentils
- 1 cebolla
- 1 hoja de laurel
- 1-1 tablespoon sweet or hot paprika
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Cooked octopus
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Sal Island
- We take a casserole to prepare the lentils, we put a couple of tablespoons of olive oil to heat.
- Cut the octopus into slices, add it when the oil is hot and brown over high heat. We take out and reserve. If we have water from the octopus, we add it to the lentil broth.
- In the pot we will put the whole onion, the garlic and the bay leaf, add the tablespoon of paprika, stir it and add water.
- We wash the lentils, add them together with the vegetables and finish covering the lentils.
- We let cook until the lentils are tender, we taste the salt and rectify.
- Add the octopus, let it cook for 5-10 minutes all together.
- We serve in plates adding pieces of octopus, sprinkle with a little more paprika and ready to eat !!!
