Caramelized peanut

We will prepare a delicious sweet treat for the children and young people of the house to enjoy, being a homemade and simple recipe composed of very few ingredients and very simple to have in our kitchen.

Ingredients:

2 cups of water
2 cups of sugar
2 cups of roasted peanuts
3 teaspoons of vanilla essence

Preparation:

Pour the water, sugar, roasted peanuts and vanilla essence into a pot or saucepan and place it on the fire. Cook the ingredients and stir them with a wooden spoon until the liquid has reduced and when the sugar has crystallized, remove the pot from the heat and continue stirring for a few minutes.

Next, place the pot back on the fire and continue cooking, always stirring until the sugar is golden brown. After this step, dump the caramelised on a plate or tray and separate them a little. When the caramelised peanuts are cold, you can pack them in cellophane-type paper bags and close them with a plastic or metal clasp.
