Cheese frosting for cupcakes
We already know that cupcakes are in fashion, and they are beautiful, on special occasions they are a very striking option and that both adults and children always like. To give them that colorful touch, we can use only fondant, only frosting or combine frosting, fondant, sugar decorations, etc.
The most common thing is that the frosting is the classic buttercream, from which we can find multiple recipes, but for my taste it is too much butter and that is why I decided to try the cheese one, which although I throw us back a little, I assure you that it will surprise you, the result It is a very good sweet cream that stays perfectly firm. The best thing is that we will have it ready in less than ten minutes.
Ingredients
- 125 gr of creamy cheese, cold (Philadelphia type, although I have used portions of Kiri)
- 50 gr of butter at room temperature
- 200 gr of icing sugar
Crafting
In a bowl we are going to beat the sugar and butter with the electric mixer until they are well integrated. Then we add all the cheese at once (if you want to add coloring you must do it now) and beat again at high speed until we have a smooth and homogeneous cream.
At first it will seem too liquid to decorate the cupcake, we must keep it in the refrigerator and when it is colder it will be more dense. And voila, we can put it in the pastry bag and decorate!
