Balsamic mushroom skewers

During the weekend there are many of us who take the opportunity to gather our family and friends. And it is on those occasions when simple recipes like these mushroom skewers to the balsamic they become a great ally. Warm, fresh off the plate, they are a delight.

The key to these skewers is the balsamic vinegar marinade. It is enough that the mushrooms are marinated for 30 minutes so that they take on all the flavor of it. Then you just have to grill them and wait for them to be ready to enjoy them with your friends.

Ingredients
  • 12 large mushrooms
  • 15 ml. of extra virgin olive oil
  • 75 ml. Modena vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Sal Island
  • Ground black pepper

Preparation
  1. We clean the mushrooms and cut the hardest part of the stem. We cut each mushroom in two and we reserve.
  2. We mix in a bowl deep the balsamic along with the olive oil, thyme, salt and pepper. We marinate the mushrooms in the bowl for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the mushroom halves from the marinade and we string on the chopsticks of wood. With 3 or 4 halves, depending on the size of the mushrooms, per skewer will be enough.
  4. Heat a few drops of oil in a pan or griddle and we cook about 4 minutes for each side.
  5. We serve fresh and hot with salt flakes (optional).
