Borrachuelos is a typical sweet for Easter or Christmas.  Now that Christmas is approaching we can prepare at home these typical sweets that are very simple and delicious to prepare.

If you want to surprise at home, here is the recipe for these homemade drunks that everyone will surely like.

Ingredients
  • 700 gr. Of flour
  • 250 ml. mild olive oil
  • 250 gr. sugar
  • 125 ml. anis- cazalla
  • 125 ml. white wine
  • Matalauva grains
  • Sugar and cinnamon, to coat
  • Sunflower oil, for frying

Preparation
  1. We start by putting the oil, sugar, white wine, anise and the matalauva grains in a pot. We mix.
  2. We will add the flour little by little.
  3. We will mix well to form a compact dough (that does not stick in the hands).
  4. We will remove the dough from the bowl and knead a little more.
  5. We will let it rest for ½ hour.
  6. We will heat the sunflower oil, it must be very hot.
  7. We will also put a plate with absorbent paper and another with the sugar and cinnamon.
  8. We will start by stretching the dough.
  9. We will cut squares and form the borrachuelos, joining the ends.
  10. When the oil is hot, we will add the drunkards, little by little and we will turn them over until they are golden brown. And so on until they are all.
  11. We will take them out and put them on a plate with absorbent paper and then we will pass them through the sugar and cinnamon plate, like this until they are all. We will put them in a source and they will be ready to eat.
  12. We will keep them in a can, so that they are well preserved, they last several days.
