There are hundreds of recipes to prepare a cake and following a few steps, the result is always spectacular. So preparing a cake will save you from infinite unforeseen events and you can always use it as a special snack for children or guests.

In this case I bring you a yogurt cake with a filling of homemade strawberry sauce. The result is a juicy sponge cake, with a different and delicious touch achieved with a simple natural strawberry sauce. We are in the middle of the strawberry season and for this reason, we must not miss the opportunity to use this delicious fruit for our dishes.

Ingredients
  • 200 gr of fresh strawberries
  • 1 creamy or strawberry flavored natural yogurt, to taste
  • 2 measures of the glass of pastry flour yogurt
  • A glass measure of sunflower oil yogurt
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 2 measures of the glass of yogurt of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 3 eggs size L

Preparation
  1. First we preheat the oven to about 180 degrees.
  2. Now, we wash the strawberries very well and cut into small cubes, add 2 teaspoons of sugar and leave to marinate at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  3. To prepare the cake batter we will follow this order.
  4. We put the eggs, the oil, the vanilla essence and the yogurt in a container and mix well with some manual rods.
  5. Next, we add the flour and yeast to the mixture, sifting previously.
  6. Mix well with the rods and add the sugar, again mix well.
  7. To unmold the cake well, line the mold with greaseproof paper.
  8. We put a part of the mixture in the mold and place the strawberry sauce on the dough, reserving the juice obtained.
  9. We finish incorporating the rest of the dough and put it in the oven until it is completely done, for about 40 minutes.

Notes
So that the upper part does not burn, once it begins to brown we can place a sheet of aluminum foil on top.
