Don't tell me that today's proposal is not appealing! The zucchini nests with egg They are a great way to end the day sitting at the table. You will not be lazy to do them, also, because they are really simple, child's play!
To prepare this recipe you need very few things, but it is mandatory to have a vegetable spiralizer. A basic one, like the one I have, does not reach € 10 and takes up very little space, an indispensable condition in my case. Do you already have one? Then you just need to get hold of the short list of ingredients.
Zucchini, egg, black pepper, salt and cayenne pepper, the latter only for the most daring, make up the list of ingredients. Simple, right? The zucchini nests with egg can be served as is or on a toast that allows you to eat them with your hands.
- ½ zucchini
- 1 egg
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cayenne pepper
- Olive oil
- We clean the zucchini well and use a spiralizer to create the spirals of zucchini that will serve as a nest.
- We heat a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan and let's skip the zucchini spirals with the chilli over medium-high heat 3-4 minutes.
- Next, we remove the chilli and make a hole in the middle of them and we crack the egg. Add salt and pepper and cook for a few minutes until the white begins to look white and then lower the heat slightly and cover the pan to finish cooking.
- We uncover, we raise the heat and cook two minutes more so that the base of the nest browns slightly. We take the opportunity to chop part of the chilli and sprinkle it on top.
- In conclusion, we take out with a slotted spoon the zucchini nest with egg and serve on a plate and / or on toast of bread.
