Hello! Tonight we already have the great dinner of Christmas! Surely, you are with the last preparations for tonight and you have no time for anything. Well, today I bring you a very simple recipe so you can save time at lunch.

In this white rice with baked potatoes roasted in the microwave. It is a very quick recipe to cook, essential in times like tonight, when we can't waste any time during the morning, since everything must be perfect for Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of long rice.
  • 4 cups of water.
  • 3 garlic cloves.
  • Olive oil.
  • 1 lozenge of avecrem.
  • Thyme.
  • Parsley.

Preparation

First we will wash the rice under the water tap to remove any impurities. The amount of rice will depend on the diners, therefore, the equivalence to make this white rice with microwave-roasted potatoes will be 1-2, that is, for each cup of rice you have to add twice as much water.

We will cut the garlic cloves in very thin sheets. We will put them in a pot with a good base of olive oil. When they are golden, we will add the rice, and cook for a few minutes without stopping stirring.

After about 2-3 minutes, we will add the water, the avecrem tablet, thyme and parsley to taste. We will leave it cook for 15-20 min or until we see that all the water has evaporated and the rice is tender.

As for the the potatoesWe will peel them and cut them into 1 cm thick slices. We will place them in an orderly way on a flat plate and we will add a little butter, salt and ground black pepper on top. We will put them in the microwave for 4-5 min or until they are soft.

Finally, we will grease a cup with a little oil, which we will fill with white rice. We will press a little so that it does not fall apart when turned over. We will place it on a flat plate together with the roasted potatoes, we will accompany it with fried tomato and mayonnaise if we want.
