I have rediscovered the waffles in good time! I vaguely remember trying them when I was little. They shouldn't have impressed me when I haven't remembered them again until now. The fault lies with a meeting of friends that she attended as a guest. For dessert? Waffles.
Waffles are a very useful dessert given the little work involved and the multitude of accompaniments that they allow and that in turn give them texture, color and flavor. The good and bad about waffles is that it turns out necessary a machine -waffle maker- to make them. They are not very expensive, but they take up space and I have no space in the kitchen!
- 125 g. butter at room temperature
- 100 g. of sugar
- Vanilla
- 2 eggs + 1 yolk
- 250 g. Of flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 190 ml. milk
- We beat in a bowl butter until frothy cream.
- We add the sugar, a few drops of vanilla essence, the eggs and beat at medium speed until all the ingredients are integrated.
- We incorporate the flour and yeast sifted while beating.
- Then we add the milk and beat at high speed for a few minutes until obtaining a homogeneous dough.
- We let the dough rest 15-20 minutes and we turn on the waffle maker.
- We add approximately half a saucepan of dough per waffle. We close the waffle maker and cook 3 minutes (it will depend on the power of your waffle maker).
- We use a spatula to take the waffles to a rack and we continue to prepare the rest.
- We serve the waffles hot Accompanied by honey, cream, caramel or a scoop of ice cream.
