Arabic bread Very easy!

Arabic bread

Doing bread at home Sometimes it scares us, as soon as we think about kneading, we back down, we postpone the idea for another time and there it stays, without us daring to try ... Today I bring you a recipe for arabic style bread, very easy and that, if you like it, you can do it even daily.

In Arab countries, bread is usually made with a rounded shape, the crust is soft and does not have much crumb but is still fluffy, just enough to be able to eat using only our fingers and a piece of bread, as is traditionally done.

Difficulty level: Medium

Ingredients

  • 250 gr de harina
  • 250 gr of fine semolina
  • 20 gr of fresh yeast
  • 400 ml of warm water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar

Crafting

Mix the flour with the fine semolina, add the yeast and mix well again. We can do it by hand or using a mixer. Little by little we are adding the warm water, we also add the sugar and salt. We knead continuously and from time to time we add a little more water. If you knead by hand it is important that you wet them continuously so that the dough does not stick to you.

The amount of water will depend on the flour you use, some suck more and others less. The important thing is that you get an elastic and a little sticky dough. When stretching the dough, threads should come out the same as when we melt cheese.

When we have it ready we sprinkle a little flour and also sprinkle in a large container, we pass the dough to the container and make a ball with it. We pass the ball to a clean cloth and cover it with another cloth. We will let it rest until it doubles in size (about half an hour). After that time we sprinkle a little flour again and crush a little, let it rise for ten more minutes.

Finally, we preheat the oven, pierce the dough with a fork and bake for about ten minutes. Clever!.

It is a wheat flour or other grains with a sandy texture that is widely used to make pasta or sprinkle it on breads. Usually fine semolina is called semolina 😉 You can find it at El Amasadero http://www.elamasadero.com/
