Today I bring you this simple and delicious recipe for Spanish turkey ham. An easy dish to prepare, with few ingredients and what is best, very low in fat. After the holidays, we all usually start the year full of good resolutions in terms of healthy living and eating. But many times, we think that good nutrition is based on boring and unappetizing dishes.

Well, turkey is a very low-fat meat, so by choosing a good preparation method, you can get a delicious and healthy dish. The turkey hams are one of the juiciest pieces of this animal, in addition, we will cook it in the oven and thus we will obtain all its flavor without adding fat to the dish. As a side, you can add some baked potatoes and a good green salad.

Ingredients
  • 4 turkey hams
  • 1 medium onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 2 ripe tomatoes
  • thyme
  • shawl
  • pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • a glass of white wine

Preparation
  1. First, we are going to wash the turkey hams very well, dry with absorbent paper and reserve.
  2. Now, we have to chop the onion and garlic very finely.
  3. Peel the tomatoes and cut into small cubes.
  4. We are preheating the oven to about 180 degrees while we finish preparing the source.
  5. In a refractory dish we put the onion, garlic and tomatoes and mix.
  6. Season the turkey hams, add a touch of thyme and a drizzle of olive oil.
  7. With very clean hands, we thoroughly impregnate all the meat with the spices.
  8. Now, we place the ham in the source on the bed of vegetables.
  9. Finally, we water with the glass of white wine and we take it to the oven.
  10. Cook for about 25 minutes, after that time, turn the meat over and bake again for another 25 minutes or so.
  11. The turkey should be well browned on the outside.
  12. To ensure that it is well cooked, you can make a couple of cuts on the meat.

Notes
To ensure that the inside of the turkey is well cooked, you should set the oven to medium high heat. If you have time, you can cook it at about 140 degrees. It will take longer to be ready, but it will be much juicier.
