Tuna patties

Tuna patties

When you find a good , easy to handle, which is always good and you can even freeze or defrost without problems is when it is a pleasure to start making some dumplings and things like that. This is the case of the dough that I already taught you a while ago for some minced meat pattiesIt has turned out to be very good and its biggest advantage for me has been that I can store it in the freezer, it doesn't take too long to defrost and when it does, I have a fresh and elastic dough, like freshly made.

This is a great advantage when cooking because now I make a lot of it and save it (I make balls and wrap them in plastic wrap), it saves a lot of time this way. For the previous occasion I showed you some minced meat patties made in the oven, this time, they are made of tuna and I made them in the pan.

Ingredients:

For the dough (in gr.):

  • 100 water
  • 50 olive oil
  • 230 flour
  • Half a teaspoon of salt (can be varied to taste)

For the filling:

  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 Tomate
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper

Preparation:

First we prepare the filling for which we are going to heat the oil from the tuna can in a pan, when it is hot we add the garlic clove cut into slices. Before it gets to brown, add the peppers and tomato, all cut into squares, and let it cook over low heat. If necessary we add a little water. Finally we add salt, pepper and tuna. We cook until the water is consumed and we reserve.

Let's go now with the dough. In a bowl we are going to mix the flour with the salt and the olive oil, then we add water little by little until we obtain an elastic dough that does not stick to the hands, it is very manageable. In my case, I already had it made, I just had to defrost it.

Now that we have the dough and the filling, we only have to make the dumplings. For this you can make small balls with the dough and then stretch them or you can stretch the dough and cut circles, I do it with a cup. Then I stretch each circle, place the filling on one side and close with the help of a fork.

Tuna dumplings step by step

When you have them all ready, you will only have to fry them in hot oil and enjoy!

When serving:

They go well with almost anything you want, such as French fries, mashed potatoes, salad ... In my case they were accompanied by tomato salad. Another option is to serve them as a starter instead of being the main dish.

Recipe suggestions:

If you prefer not to fry you can paint them with egg and bake them.

The best:

Have you done many? Nothing happens: Place them on plastic wrap and go rolling them so that they do not stick together, put them in the freezer and you have them ready for another time, you just have to cook them.
