At home we are rushing the last days of summer to continue enjoying fresh recipes with seasonal products like tomato. This tomato and plum salad is one such example. A perfect combination of fruits to start any meal.
I have added so much to this salad cherry tomatoes like Beef Heart type tomatoes, but you can substitute these for others. The ideal is to use local products, which come from the garden to your home without going through intermediaries. And, of course, that they are ripe so that they take advantage of all their flavor.
Both tomatoes and olives add a salty touch to this salad. Plums and dates, for their part, they incorporate a sweet contrast. At home we have seasoned the salad with olive oil, but you can bet on one honey vinaigrette if you are looking for a more special touch. Making this salad has no mystery and is that salads are a great tool to easily and quickly combine different seasonal ingredients and eat healthy.
