The squids with onions they are a classic of our gastronomy. A simple dish of those that everyone likes and that does not involve any difficulty. The most laborious part of the dish is, without a doubt, cleaning the squid and slicing them but we don't have to!
Today they offer us clean products presented in numerous ways; so we can skip the cumbersome step of cleaning and cutting them into rings. The rest is sewing and singing; a bit of onion and green pepper It will help us to create a perfect dish to serve as a second course or unique dish at dinner.
- 6 squid (medium)
- 2-3 onions
- 1 green pepper
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 glass of white wine

- We clean the squid. We pull the tentacles out to remove the internal organs of the squid and then we do the same with the skin, pulling it back. Once we have a clean body, we take out the pen to finish cleaning the squid under the cold water tap.
- We chop the body of the squid in rings and we reserve.
- Chop the onion and pepper and the poach in a low casserole or frying pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. It will take us approximately 20-30 minutes over low heat.
- Then we incorporate the squid to the casserole and a teaspoon of paprika. stir and cook for 5 minutes.
- We turn up the fire and we water with white wine . We cook until all the alcohol evaporates.
- We pour some water and we let them cook for 15-20 more minutes.
- We rectify the salt point and serve the squid with hot onions.
