For Christians during Easter it is recommended not to eat meat on Fridays, because of the vigil, which is why fish is commonly used as a main dish. So, today we have prepared this delicious recipe for stuffed squid.

The squid They have a high protein content, providing the vast majority of essential acids for our body. Furthermore, they are low in fat and calories, so they are great for weight loss diets. They can be grilled, stuffed, fried, etc.

Ingredients

  • 4 large squid.
  • 1/2 onion.
  • 250 g of cooked ham (block).
  • 50 g of green olives.
  • 2 eggs.
  • Olive oil.
  • White wine.
  • Water.
  • Salt
  • Pinch of salt.
  • 1 tablespoon of flour.

Preparation

First of all we will have to clean the squid well. To do this, we will pull the tentacles out, remove the skin and fins, remove the feather or thorn, and turn it over and clean all the dirt. With the tentacles, we will cut below the eye, we will remove the mouth and we will remove the skin. We will rinse very well under the water tap.

For filling: we will put 2 eggs to cook first. We will chop into very small cubes, the cooked and serrano ham, the olives, the tentacles and fins of the squid and, finally, the eggs when they are cooked and cold. In addition, the tentacles and the fins will be sautéed a little in the pan along with olive oil. We will put all this in a bowl and mix well.

We will fill the squid with this filling and close it with a toothpick on top. It we will mark a little on the plate in a small frying pan and we will reserve it for later.

To perform the salsaWe will have to finely chop the onion and poach it in a wide frying pan with a little olive oil. When it has taken on a golden color, we will add the tablespoon of flour and stir well so that it cooks.

Finally, we will white wine and we will sauté so that the alcohol is eliminated. Afterwards, we will add a little water and we will introduce the squid. Cover and cook for 5-8 minutes over low heat.
