Squid to the Roman

We are going to prepare some delicious squid roman style, As a dish, starter or as a tapas or aperitif, it is a delicious fish. For this recipe we have to buy a good fresh squid of a medium measure so that the rings are of a measure that is good. A simple and tasty recipe.

A plate of squid battered in flour and egg, but the good thing is that the spongy dough and the tender squid remain. In summer time it is a good tapa, as is not lacking in any tapas bar.

Ingredients
  • 500 gr. squid in rings
  • 2 eggs

Preparation
  1. First we will clean the squid, we will clean them under the tap, removing the skin and legs and cleaning it inside. This step can be ordered at the fishmonger and cut into rings.
  2. We mix the flour with salt and yeast,
  3. In a bowl we put the eggs and beat well, we will add the flour little by little until we have a dough like a light cream. We let the dough rest for half an hour in the fridge.
  4. In a plate we put a little flour, we take the drained and dry rings with a kitchen paper.
  5. We put a frying pan or a fryer with plenty of oil, we pass the rings through the flour and then we will pass them through the dough that we have prepared.
  6. When the oil is very hot, we will add the squid rings in as many small 4-5 rings. We will turn it over and brown.
  7. We will have a plate with a kitchen paper and we will put the squid already battered so that they release the oil.
  8. And ready to eat !!! We will serve them with some lemon slices.
