The spiced pears in white wine that we prepare today will conquer you both for its flavor and for the aroma that it will leave in your kitchens. Making it is very simple, becoming a great alternative as a dessert when you have guests or you want to surprise the family with something more special.
There are many spices that we can use to make this recipe. At home we opted for some cloves and some saffron, but you could flavor it with cinnamon or any other species that you like. Choose the species you choose, after cooking you will get some very tender flavored pears, which will melt in your mouth.
- 4 conference pears
- Juice of one lemon
- ½ liter of white wine
- 80 g. of sugar
- A few strands of saffron
- 2 cloves
- We peel the pears and we cut the base slightly so that they hold upright. We brush them with lemon juice so that they do not oxidize and reserve.
- In a saucepan, we heat the wine and the sugar over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
- We introduce the spices chosen and the pears stand up and let them cook for about half an hour or until they are tender.
- They are removed from the casserole and set aside to be able to reduce the syrup.
- The spiced pears are served along with the syrup.
