Five years ago I showed you in these same pages how to prepare a basic applesauce. And although afterwards we have incorporated other recipes, that basic recipe is the one we have used today, with a slight change, to create these small glasses of compote and whipped cheese.
And what change is it that we have made and I propose to make to you as well? Reduce the amount of sugar from the original recipe. It is a small change that, in addition to making this recipe healthier, will help us educate our palate to less sugary flavors.
You could combine the applesauce with yogurt, as we have done other times, however, this time, we suggest you do it with whipped cheese or cottage cheese. Both are great options and easy to find in supermarkets. And of course, do not give up, if you like, that pinch of cinnamon to finish off the dessert. I have not done it.
The recipe
- 4 tablespoons applesauce
- 3 tablespoons of whipped cheese
- 10 raisins
- Ground cinnamon to taste
- We mix the applesauce with the raisins.
- We put two tablespoons of compote in the bottom of a glass or jar.
- Then we add 2 tablespoons of whipped cheese.
- On this we add another 2 tablespoons of applesauce.
- We finish with the leftover whipped cheese and decorate with ground cinnamon.
