Salted chicken

Today we are going to prepare a chicken on a bed of salt, or salted chicken. With this preparation we achieve a golden and cooked chicken, but at the same time very juicy. To this advantage is added that we will not dirty neither source, nor oven, nor will we make smoke. It seems an almost magical recipe, we could go shopping and leave it in the oven, although we will not do it because we are very responsible and we will never leave the house leaving the oven on.

Ingredients


  • 1 whole chicken, clean
  • 1 kg of salt for baking
  • 1 orange or lemon
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • olive oil with dry seasonings to taste

Preparation

We will start by turning the oven to 200 degrees. We line a roasting pan with aluminum foil, and cover it completely with the salt.
We remove the fat and the chicken tail. Then we arrange it on the salt and we introduce the garlic cloves, and the two orange halves.
Before taking it to the oven, we paint it with plenty of seasoned oil. We do not salt.
After approximately 30 minutes we control the cooking and paint again with oil. We leave in the oven another half hour. There is no need to turn it over.
We take it out when it is golden and the pieces separate on their own.
And ready the chicken !!!! to the salt, golden, crunchy and juicy and almost for diets if we remove the skin.
