Rolls stuffed with tuna and zucchini

Rolls stuffed with tuna and zucchini

Do you remember the tuna patties What did we see recently? The recipe that I bring you today is made with exactly the same dough, the only thing that instead of giving the shape of the dumpling we are going to form some rolls and we are going to use another filling. In my case I had leftover dough and I had it stored in the freezer, the filling had left over from making stuffed zucchini the night before, so it was simple: Thaw the dough and fill it. Ideal for when we want to get out of the kitchen quickly.

Difficulty level: Easy

Preparation time:

  • If you have to prepare the dough and the filling, 40 min. approx.
  • If you have the thawed dough, 30 min. approx.
  • If you have the thawed dough and the filling prepared (as was my case), 10 min. approx.

Ingredients:

For the dough (in gr.):

  • 100 water
  • 50 olive oil
  • 230 flour
  • Half a teaspoon of salt (can be varied to taste)

For the filling:

  • Zucchini
  • 2 cans of tuna
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Olive oil
  • Sal Island
  • Pepper
  • Bechamel sauce (if you are going to make it homemade you will need flour and milk)

Preparation:

We are going to start preparing the dough, we will simply have to mix the flour, the salt, the olive oil and little by little we will add the water until we get a manageable, elastic dough that does not stick to the fingers. In the recipe for minced meat patties you can see step by step how the dough is prepared.

Once ready we reserve it and go on to prepare the filling, for this we are going to put a pan over low heat with a little olive oil, when it is hot we will add the garlic clove cut into slices and let it cook a little, without let it brown. Then we add the zucchini cut into small cubes and sauté them until they are done, then we add the tuna and stir.

Finally we make the bechamel sauce, it can be already prepared or we can make it homemade, in the link that I leave you you can see it step by step. When it is ready we add it to the pan and mix. We already have the filling ready, now we only have to assemble the rolls and fry them in plenty of hot oil until they are golden brown.

Step by step

When serving ...

They can be served as a starter or as a main course, in this case they could be accompanied by French fries, a salad, puree, etc ... In my case they were a main dish accompanied by salad.

Recipe suggestions:

Instead of this filling you can use any other if you prefer.

Rolls stuffed with tuna and zucchini

The best…

As I said before, I already had the dough made and I had leftover stuffing from another recipe that I made previously, so I simply had to assemble the rolls and fry them. They can be stored already assembled individually wrapped in plastic wrap, then it would only be left to defrost and fry.

Well, well ... you've left me hungry !!!

I think I'll copy your recipe, because it's great. And I love that it is "freezable", both the dough and the rolls and the filling. So you can have something quick to do on weekdays.

Thank you so much for the idea!!
