Roast chicken with brussels sprouts

We continue to show you our proposals for the next holidays. In this case a roast chicken recipe with brussels sprouts. The latter may not appeal to everyone, but as an accompaniment to chicken they are fantastic; they give another color to the plate.

The recipes that are prepared in the oven allow us to enjoy the celebrations with greater peace of mind. This will be especially easy to prepare and serve; the chicken is already chopped. It also has a tasty little sauce based on garlic, lemon and mustard to which if you want you can add some spice.

Ingredients
  • 750 g. of chicken
  • 400 g. brussels sprouts
  • 4-5 shallots
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • ⅓ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
For the sauce
  • 3 dientes de ajo chopped
  • 1½ tablespoons of heather honey
  • 1½ tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin oil
  • ⅓ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ⅓ teaspoon of salt

Preparation
  1. We preheat the oven to 230 ºC.
  2. In an ovenproof casserole or container, we put the cabbages brussels sprouts halved or quartered, shallots quartered and lemon sliced.
  3. We drizzle with the oil, season and mix.
  4. In a small bowl, we mix the rest of the ingredients: garlic, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, oil, pepper and salt.
  5. We smear the chicken with the sauce and add it to the casserole.
  6. We take to the oven and roast 30-40 minutes about or until chicken is golden brown.
