Quick but tasty spaghetti carbonara

Spaghetti carbonara

Hello !, Ugh! Today has been a very busy day for me, so I have prepared something very quick and easy to cook for you, some quick but Delicious spaghetti carbonara. They don't have much difficulty so anyone could cook them.

In this recipe, what we have to be a little careful with is with the pasta. You have to cook at the right time, and not let it pass us, since that would give an unpleasant taste to our palates.

Without further ado, below I leave you all the necessary ingredients and all the steps to follow to cook these spaghetti carbonara for two. Enjoy yourself!

Ingredients

  • 200-250 g of spaghetti.
  • Water.
  • 1 medium onion.
  • 4 slices of smoked bacon.
  • 2 small bricks of whipped cream for cooking (15% fat).
  • 1 egg.
  • Olive oil.
  • Salt
  • Oregano.

Preparation

As I already mentioned at the beginning of the recipe, you have to cook the pasta in its right measure so that it passes to us. Therefore, before starting to cook it, you should always read the cooking times for it that come on the packages. They usually range between 8-10 min depending on the product and the elaboration that it entails.

The first thing we have to do is put a pot with plenty of water on a high heat. When it starts to boil, add salt and spaghetti. Some people also add butter or a drizzle of oil so that it doesn't stick, but I don't particularly like doing it. When about 8-10 min have passed, we turn off the fire, cool the spaghetti under the stream of the tap with cold water and later we reserve them separately.

Then, we chop the onion very small and the bacon into strips. In a pan, with a good background of olive oil, add the onion to fry. When this is done, add the bacon and continue cooking for 2-3 min until we see that the onion and bacon are well cooked. Next, we throw the spaghetti and we mix well so that they take on flavor.

Finally, we take the born (we reserve a little for later) to the pan, mixing it with the spaghetti, onion and bacon. And, to the cream reserve, we add a whole egg, beat it and also add it to the pan. Let cook for 3-4 min and… that's it!

Personally when serving I like to give it a touch of oregano, to others a little nutmeg, and even cheese. But as always, I leave that to your choice. I hope you like it!.

I would like to know why the egg is necessary in the preparation? Since several times I have made this pasta but without the egg, because I do not know what can happen and it scares me.

Relax nothing happens. The egg, when mixed with the cream, gives it more consistency when adding it to the spaghetti, nothing more. You can delete it if you want. As I also put in the recipe, a variant is to add cheese or nutmeg, that is because it gives it flavor as well as consistency.

I hope to have solved your doubt.

    Regards!
