Puff pastry filled with cream cheese

Whether for snack or dessert, this coca de puff pastry filled with cream cheese it's a delight. A very simple and quick sweet to prepare, which everyone will like.

The cream cheese filling is very good, it is soft and not too cloying, we can also accompany it with some jam, such as blackberries, raspberry that goes very well with cheese.

Ingredients
  • 1 rectangular puff pastry sheet
  • 1 tub of spreadable cheese
  • 3-4 tablespoons of icing sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of cream or milk
  • 1 egg
  • Chopped almonds
  • Marmalade
  • Icing sugar to decorate

Preparation
  1. We preheat the oven up and down to 180ºC
  2. We stretch the puff pastry plate, divide the puff pastry in three, making the marks of the three parts with the knife.
  3. In a bowl we put the spread cheese, cream or milk and mix it little by little with the sugar, if you like it sweeter you can put more sugar.
  4. We will spread the cheese in the center of the puff pastry, on each side of the center the same puff pastry will remain.
  5. We can put a little jam on top of the cream cheese.
  6. We beat the egg in a bowl we reserve.
  7. Fold a part of the puff pastry inwards, covering the cream of the cheese, brush this dough with the egg a little and fold the other side towards the center, on top of the other dough that we have placed on top of the cheese.
  8. We paint with egg and put the chopped almond on top.
  9. We put it in the oven and let it cook until the dough is done and golden brown.
  10. When it is, we take it out of the oven and sprinkle with icing sugar, and it only remains to accompany it with a little jam or with a coffee,
