If you don't know what to eat tomorrow, take note of this grilled salmon with curry mashed potatoes. A dish that you can accompany with a green salad and a light dessert to complete your menu without complicating yourself too much. Because I already tell you that preparing it is easy, very easy.
Mashed potatoes is a excellent accompaniment of fish, vegetables and meat. Especially when this one is homemade and it costs so little to make it at home! In addition, it can be customized by adding different seasonings and spices to achieve slight nuances of flavor each day.
Today I used to flavor mashed potatoes garlic powder and curry, plus a little butter and milk to add creaminess. The ideal is to eat it freshly made, but if you decide to do it in advance you can always add a splash of milk and heat it in a bain-marie at the moment of serving it so that it recovers that smooth and creamy texture that characterizes it. Do you dare to try it?
The recipe
- Small potatoes 5
- 1 level tablespoon of butter
- A splash of milk or vegetable drink
- ½ teaspoon curry powder
- Garlic powder
- Sal Island
- Black pepper
- Nutmeg
- 2 slices of salmon
- Peel the potatoes, cut them in half and cook them in a pot with plenty of water until they are tender.
- Once tender, place them in a bowl with the butter, curry and a pinch of salt, pepper and garlic powder and mash with a fork until you get a very thick puree.
- To lighten it, pour milk or vegetable drink until the desired texture is achieved and to counteract the taste of milk, add a pinch of nutmeg.
- While we finish the purée, cook the two salmon slices on the grill, letting them cook well on one side and brown slightly before turning them over.
- We distribute the mashed potatoes on two plates and place a slice of grilled salmon on it.
- We enjoyed this grilled salmon with fresh curried mashed potatoes.
